Baseball & Softball Physical therapy in charlotte, nc

looking for someone who gets it?

Dr. Kiley played softball through college as a Division II All American, so when a baseball or softball athlete walks in with shoulder, elbow, or hip pain, she's not guessing at what the sport demands, she's lived it.

Dr. Kiley also completed an internship under Champion PT and Performance in Boston, where she treated many collegiate, minor, and major league baseball players. On top of that, she also completed a post-grad Baseball Rehab Specialist course.

Throwing, hitting, and the explosive, asymmetric movements this sport requires put a specific kind of stress on the body, and most general PT clinics don't treat it that way.

most common baseball/softball injuries

  • The most common shoulder issue in throwers, usually from a combination of poor mechanics, strength imbalances, and sheer volume.

  • The ligament behind "Tommy John," under stress every time you throw. Caught early, many UCL sprains can be managed and strengthened through rehab rather than surgery.

  • Repetitive deceleration on the follow through wears on the shoulder's cartilage rim over time. It doesn't always mean surgery, but it does mean a real, structured rehab plan.

  • Common in growing throwers, usually 9 to 14 years old. If not addressed promptly, can force months of rest.

  • Hitters generate massive rotational force through the trunk on every swing, and the obliques are often what gives out first. These come back fast if the underlying strength deficit never actually gets addressed.

What Treatment Actually Looks Like Here

Every session is 60 minutes, one on one with a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. No aides, no double booking, no generic exercise sheets borrowed from a different sport.

Rehab doesn't stop once the pain goes away, we build you back to throwing, hitting, and competing at full strength.

don’t let this pain go into next season.
